Basecamp Podcast Has Interviews with Top Climbers
Gripped editor Brandon Pullan chats with climbers like Sharon Wood, Alex Honnold, Tommy Caldwell and Hazel Findlay
In 2014, The Banff Centre started Banff Centre Radio which featured a number of shows available on two radio stations in and around Banff. After one year, the centre for creative arts ditched the radio platform and trimmed its production team. It kept a few of its producers and transferred some of the radio programs to podcasts. Some hosts were kept on to continue to produce programs until early in 2016. One of those programs is Basecamp Podcasts, which was hosted by Gripped editor Brandon Pullan.
The podcast is described as “a place where dirtbags, mountaineering legends and amateurs alike meet up to swap stories and share their passion for climbing, whatever the style.” Pullan talked to a number of top climbers, including Alex Honnold, Cedar Wright, Julian Lines, Sharon Wood, Hazel Findlay, Tommy Caldwell, David Lama, Eric and Elise Sethna and many more.
