Flying Circus in Squamish is a Fun 5.10 Crack

Neat and Cool Wall with Flying Circus Topo Marc Bourdon

Flying Circus is a 5.10 crack climb at the Smoke Bluffs at the Neat and Cool Wall in Squamish.

It’s long been considered one of the top climbs of the grade at the Bluffs. It was first climbed back in 1977 by Dick Mitten and Dave Lane.

The climb starts up a few “easy” moves to gain a good foot ledge. Then you balance your way up on small crystals while jamming the thin finger crack.

It eats up small nuts and cams. There are a few short cruxes followed by good rests. It’s a greasy climb due to the traffic so bring the chalk and get on it on cooler days.

Watch Eric Tran solo Flying Circus and Jesse James climb it below.
