New 10-Pitch 5.9 In Red Rocks

Jeremy Devine and Sam Bishop have climbed a new 10-pitch 5.9 in a remote corner the popular Red Rocks.

Red Rocks is an annual destination for thousands of climbers, but most repeat visitors have climbed all of the classic easy and moderate routes. The new Of Mice and Men is a nice addition that should clean up with some traffic.

Mountain guide Jeremy Divine and Sam Bishop teamed up in the spring of 2015 for an ascent of this potentially soon-to-be popular route in Mud Spring Canyon.

This route is reported to have some fun and exciting climbing in a remote part of Red Rock. “Reminiscent of Rainbow Buttress, but with an even more remote feel,” wrote Devine on Mountain Project. “Some loose rock, but we tried to clean as much obvious choss as possible. Still worth the second trying to rip off loose holds on a couple pitches. Should actually clean up well with subsequent ascents. Worth doing if you’ve done a lot of the Red Rock adventure routes and want more.”
