New Four-Pitch 5.10 in B.C.’s Fraser Valley

Drew Brayshaw and Shaun Neufeld made the first ascent of Mechanical Advantage this past weekend. The new four-pitch mixed 5.10b is a great addition to Harrison Bluffs in the Fraser Valley. The first pitch is a seven-bolt 5.10b that climbs a up a corner thin crack. After a short trail, you climb the 30-metre 5.8 second pitch and 25-metre 5.9 all-gear pitch. There is a short fourth pitch with two bolts.  The route is between Wildcat 5.8 and Sharktooth 5.9 and has rappel anchors. For more on Harrison Bluffs visit here.
