Jasmin Caton and Cam Shute have climbed a new route on Mount Gimli in B.C. called Dark and Stormy 5.11a. The new Valhalla range route is five pitches and climbs up the south face next to Sailor Jerry 5.10b and Valhalla Gold 5.12a. Valhalla Gold is one of the hardest routes in the Valhalla range and it was sent in 2014 by David Lussier and Jason Luthy. For a topo of the south face of Gimli visit Kootenay Climbing here.
@camshute looking up into the beauty dihedral of Dark and Stormy, our new partner route to Sailor Jerry and Valhalla Gold on Gimli. 5 pitches of high quality climbing up to 11a. I can hardly believe the adventures the Valhalla mountains have offered up this week! So fun to be out in the hills with some of Nelson's best boys @camshute and @soglephoto
