New Sport Crag in Chilliwack With Routes to 5.12d

Slesse Creek has a handful of new limestone routes and some great new topos

Slesse Creek has a number of new routes on limestone walls from warm-ups to 5.12d. John Valecko published the online guide, which includes topos and brief route descriptions.

Valecko established the area with Andy Jackson, Joe McKeen and Stan Funk. “Slesse Creek has received a facelift,” Valecko said on the Fraser Valley Rock Climbing group here, “along with a couple of other crags added in.” There are a total of 22 routes as of now with new routes and crags currently being developed. They crew noted that belayers should wear a helmet because, its limestone so there will still be bits and pieces coming down. “Also if you see a route with a rope fixed on it, please leave it alone.”

Valecko also thanked the Fraser Valley Climbing Society, Sam Waddington and the Mount Waddington’s Outdoors for the hardware. To see the topo visit file:///C:/Users/Brandon/Downloads/PDFsam_merge.pdf. The most difficult route is White Noise 5.12d.
