Simone Moro Has Big Himalayan Winter Plans

Simone Moro is travelling with Pemba Gelje Sherpa in hopes to acclimatize on Mera Peak in preparation for Manaslu, one of the world’s 14 8,000-metre peaks.

Moro has climbed the following in winter: Shishapangma (2005), Makalu (2009), Gasherbrum II (2011) and Nanga Parbat (2016), which would make Manaslu his fifth.

Moro first tried Manaslu in the winter of 2015 with Tamara Lunger.
