Watch Kris Irwin Send Caveman M9+ at Haffner Creek

Watch Kris Irwin send Caveman, a classic route in upper Haffner Creek that was first climbed by Sean Isaac back in 1999.

TBT 1999: The first ascent of Caveman almost 20 years ago helped open eyes to the possibilities of horizontal drytooling. Phallic ice stalagmites, hoar-frosted limestone and gymnastic figure-4 movement made for a surreal experience. Back in those dark ages of mixed climbing, leashless tools were not yet a reality, hence the old-school clipper leashes on ancient (then state of art…) Black Diamond Black Prophet tools. Caveman was the first route in this grotto at the back of Haffner Creek and kicked off The Fox's 10-year career as a professionally sponsored mixed climber. The roof is now riddled with bolts and far harder lines yet Caveman is still the classic. . . Upcoming shows will be announced soon, but in the meantime, please enjoy our new music video for our album's single "Follow Me" by clicking the link in our profile.
