20 Films in 2022 Women in Adventure Competition
From rock climbing and trekking to big water swims, these films have all sorts of adventures
The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) opened a competition last year looking for films made by and about women in the world of climbing.
“The aim of this competition is to increase the number of outdoor-loving women on the big screen,” the BMC said. “We know there are so many amazing women out there doing amazing things in amazing places and even often, for amazing causes. Let’s see and share their stories with the vibrant outdoor community.”
The BMC wanted films up to 10 minutes long about the adventures. “You don’t have to be a pro filmmaker or an elite athlete to enter,” the BMC said. “We want to see films featuring females of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities. Do something different!”
The winners for 2022 will be announced in March 2023 at Sheffield Adventure Film Festival. You can watch all film here. Below are five about climbing.
