A Cinematic Trad Climbing Experience
Two climbers tackle three classic single-pitch 5.13 trad lines in Tyrol
A new film has been released by Mellow featuring Moritz Plattner and Luis Beitl climbing Markus Haid’s crack trilogy. The whole process is captured and edited by Jonathan Fäth. The three trad routes are Minsky Moment 5.13b, Seatrad 5.13b and No bolts 5.13a.
The video description from Mellow read, “Rare things are precious, and a rarity in Tyrol are hard single-pitch trad routes. The feeling of a perfectly placed camalot and the nervousness of climbing over uncertain protection provide the perfect combination of satisfaction and excitement when climbing. While browsing through Tyrolean climbing guides, you won’t find many cracks. However, when talking to the right people, a handful of five-star climbs and beautiful lines emerge.”
This 30-minute film is more than just clips from a crag, as the multi-angle shots are thought out and it has a high production quality. Enjoy!
