A Must-Climb Quebec 5.13a Sport Route
One of Quebec's oldest at the grade is still one of its best
Ulysse is a must-climb bolted 5.13a at Mont Baldy in Quebec that follows solid rock through steep sections. It was first climbed in 1999 by Guy Parent and S. Audette. It’s climbs the most esthetic line on the cliff.
Several top climbers have sent it over the years, in 2022 Jake Tiger said, “There are two no handed rests but the aesthetics of the wall, the incredible movement and the ergonomics of the holds really make it for me. One of my favourite sport climbs to date. Plus I kinda needed those no hand rests as I’m in boulder shape.”
If you’re looking for a 5.13a project not far from Montreal then be sure to check out Ulysse. Watch a send by all-round Quebec climber Jerome St-Michel.
