At last weekend’s Boulder World Cup in Prague, Adam Ondra made his big return the World Cup stage, winning silver in front of his home crowd. As part of his training for the comp, he invited a professional route setter to a local gym in Prague to set a simulation World Cup round of boulder problems.

The setter put up five problems ranging in grade from V8 to V11. Ondra then ran through the problems in World Cup competition style, spending five minutes on each climb. You can watch his efforts in his recently published video below. Problem #3 has one of the coolest finishing sequences you’ll see on any problem.

Ondra is expected to compete in this weekend’s Boulder World Cup in Brixen, Italy, running from June 9 to 11. In his storied comp-climbing career, he’s earned 14 Boulder World Cup medals – six golds, five silvers, and three bronzes. In Lead World Cup, he’s won 15 golds, five silvers, and one bronze.
