Caro North Climbs 55 New Routes in Minialaska, Patagonia

Swiss climber Caro North was recently climbing in the valley called Minialaska in Argentina and discovered some great new climbing.

After spending some time climbing in the popular Frey, the strong 27-year-old headed to the remote Patagonia location that is popular with skiers.

North said that there was only one route established and it was back in 1993, so with a number of partners she went to work and climbed 55 new lines.

North started competing at age 11 and at age 16 climbed Aconcagua and realized her passion for remote climbing.
