Cory Richards Prepares for Everest 2019
Surviving an avalanche changed Cory Richards’ life. It kick-started his photography career, but the lingering effects of trauma led to a path of self-destruction. In this video, we look back at pivotal moments in Richards’s life and career as he prepares to return to Everest to attempt a new route up the mountain.
A decade ago, Richards was based in the Canadian Rockies where he made the first ascent of Polarity VI WI6 on Snowdome and North Couloir IV on Mount Bryce with local climbers.
