Early Winter Means September Skiing in Rockies

Winter came early to the Canadian Rockies and a number of alpinists strapped on the skis for September pow sessions.

The 3/4 couloir is in the Valley of the 10 Peaks and is one of the classic “off season” ski lines that fills in early.

Trevor Sexsmith has pioneered dozens of first descents and he takes advantage of the early snows to rip the 3/4, what was not his first time.

If you’re wondering how famous the line or range is, check your $20 Canadian bill, it’s on there.
