Meet the Amazing and Inspiring Swiss Champion Petra Klingler
The Olympian is one of the most determined climbers on the bouldering, lead and ice climbing circuits
La Sportiva, one of the greatest show brands in climbing, presents a short profile on Swiss bouldering champion Petra Klingler. In 2016, she was the Bouldering World Champion, and she was recently one of the only 20 females to compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Klinger began winning competitions at the age of only 12 when she picked up her first success in lead climbing. “Never give up” is her motto, “even if the next move seems impossible. If you think you can do it, you’ll better prepare for it. That can be decisive.”
Klinger is also a world-class at ice climbing with a third place at the UIAA France Ice Climbing World Cup in 2019. Enjoy this amazing short film about the exceptional climber.
