New Film on Amazing Squamish-Like Northern Ontario Bouldering

Watch the first ascent of a V13, the hardest problem north of Sudbury in the province

Over the past decade, a lot of climbs have been established between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie along the north shore of Lake Huron in northern Ontario. This new film documents some of the over 150 problems established on granite boulders north of Elliot Lake.

The area was discovered by a handful of climbers, including Brendan Baars, who’s featured in the below film called The Nooks. There’s also a new guidebook to the area that will be available in April which you can pre-order here.

There’s free camping next to a river, easy access to tall Squamish-like boulders and some of the best problems you’ll find in Ontario. For access information visit Climb Sudbury here and for a list of problems visit Sendage. Follow Baars below for some quality bouldering content.
