New Film on Female Routsetters is ‘Come As You Are’

Six highly experienced competition climbers and routesetters come together in Switzerland for two days

A new short film called Come As You Are is described as “an international female routesetters’ love letter to the development of routesetting and the spaces we inhabit.”

There are several top climbers, including Canadian champion Alannah Yip, Swiss champion Natalie Bärtschi, international routesetter Friedi Traube, Belgium champion Nataleigh Bell, Netherlands routesetter Swaen Harmsen and Georgian mountain guide Anna Dularidze.

The film is directed by Alise Zvigule, who was part of IFSC diversity programme in 2022. It was filmed over two days at Elys Boulderloft in Basel, Switzerland.  “A feature for anyone who has ever felt like they do not belong in routesetting or a climbing space,” said Zvigule. Watch below.
