Watch Anna Stohr and Jule Wurm Boulder in Japan

Watch top climbers Anna Stohr and Jule Wurm boulder in Japan. Stohr is currently touring with the IFSC competing at World Cups. Wurm retired from competition a few seasons ago.

When asked why she like competitions, Stohr said, “I think that the atmosphere is cool. You get to meet a lot of talented climbers from around the world and you can learn from their strengths only by watching.

“Of course competing is not enjoyed by everyone, but I like it a lot and I think it taught me a lot of precious lessons,” said Stohr. “Like that there is no best climber, there are so many strong ones. One day you win, next day you lose. But you can still celebrate together and have fun.”

About leaving comp climbing, Wurm said in 2015, “For the moment I’m still very psyched to push my limits in training and on the rock.

“In a perfect world, comp climbing would get super big, with huge crowds, big sponsors and tons of prize money, while rock climbing would stay as it is: natural, with not to many climbers at the crags and good weather.”
