Majestic is a Beauty V6 Above the Ocean

The steep over-the-water problem is one of the most popular on the west coast at the grade

Majestic is said to be one of the best boulder problems in Canada, with every climber raving about it post-send. The overhanging prow climbs over the water, so no need for a pad.

You start on a big hueco and traverse right up a seam to the end and then mantel in the corner using tiny holds. “Such a good boulder in such an amazing area,” said Dexter Bateman. “Could climb this 100 times and never get bored with it.” And Vancouver-based climber Rianne Lanz, who’s sent problems up to V11 with Ozzmosis in Squamish, said about Majestic: “The perfect boulder, that is all.”

The climb is located at Britannia Beach and should be on every boulderer’s to-do list. Below is a short video by Dennis Ng using a drone, and check out this shot of Will Stanhope on the modern classic.
