Watch Sean Villanueva project a burly offwidth at Adrxpach in the Czech Republic this summer. The sandstone offers very little friction and some of the protection is ropes tied into a knot.
Villanueva said that working on the route is like “reading Chinese.” Once they finish taking whippers out of the cracks, they move on to another old project for a first ascent. Turn on English subtitles.
