Watch Sonnie Trotter Climb The Path 5.14R

A few years ago, Sonnie Trotter sent The Path 5.14R at the Back of the Lake in Alberta.

The old bolted project had fallen into disrepair and Trotter, on a traditional climbing spree, chopped the bolts and sent the testpiece on micro gear.

The Path has now been climbed a number of times and has become somewhat of a classic difficult gear route.

Despite being bolted for over a decade, no one had climbed it. It took the vision of Trotter to lop the hangers and show the world what was possible.
