See Moment Skier Takes a Scary Fall

A frightening fall which left the skier uninjured but shaken up

Backcountry skiing comes with several risks, from avalanches and crevasses to difficult terrain. Matt Randall recently shared that he survived a close call, and shared a video showing the moment when he fell.

Randall was skiing on the east face of Colorado’s South Maroon Peak when he tumbled down a steep couloir. He was lucky that he fell down the snow-filled line and not over one of the many nearby cliffs.

Randall talked about his epic fall The Sharp End podcast, which you can listen to here. Watch his fall below, but be warned that despite surviving uninjured, the accident is terrifying.
