PrimaLoft Debuts 100 Per Cent Biodegradable Insulation

PrimaLoft debuts the first-ever 100 percent biodegradable synthetic insulation, designed to completely biodegrade in one year.

PrimaLoft has coated each fiber with “food” that makes it more appealing to the naturally occurring microbes in the soil, breaking down the materials in a quick and clever manner.

PrimaLoft says it will be saving “tons” of microplastics from languishing for decades in landfills and oceans, so we can get over that pretty quickly. Look for PrimaLoft Bio in apparel from five brands in Fall 2020: Helly Hansen, Houdini (prototype of an anorak shown), L.L. Bean, Norrona and Vaude.
