Big New Ski Descent in Brenta Dolomites

A new steep ski line dropped after tricky mixed climbing

Andrea Cozzini, Alberto Ferrazza, Claudio Lanzafame and Marco Maganzini skied a new descent called Enfant (Terrible) on the west northwest face of Cima Termoncello in the Brenta Dolomites.

The four top skiers used lifts and then climbed to the base of a steep wall before roping up to ice climb up 600 metres of steep terrain. They stopped just below the summit after some tricky mixed climbing.

“The descent, skied in its entirety, provides some fairly serious exposure in some sections, past rocky outcrops and down some steep couloirs connected to each other by delicate traverses, Lanzafame told planetmountain.com. “The wintery snow, crusty only in some sections, resulted in a descent where every move, every turn, was calculated carefully; it would have been all too easy to hit on some rocks or some deep ice.”
