Canadian Women Podium at Freeride World Tour Stop in B.C.

The World Tour finals will take place in Switzerland on March 26

At the second stop of the Freeride World Tour 2022 at B.C.’s amazing Kicking Horse, the freeriders found some steep and inspiring runs in finals. Two Canadian women finished on the podium.

While Erika Vikander (USA) emerged victorious in the women’s snowboard category, it was Canadian Katie Anderson who put together a strong run in tough conditions with a smooth entrance and several big airs. Anderson won’t be advancing to the World Tour finals, and said this might be her final year on the circuit. Austrian Manuela Mandl finished in third.

In the women’s ski category, tour rookie Lily Bradley (USA) took gold and New Zealander Jessica Hotter took silver. Canadian Olivia McNeill finished with bronze which has advanced her to the final event of the tour which will take place in Verbier, Switzerland, at the end of March.
