Canadian Sonnie Totter and American Tommy Caldwell have teamed up for a ground-up ascent on the Diamond Face on Mount Louis in the Canadian Rockies.

Canadian Sonnie Trotter and American Tommy Caldwell have teamed up for a ground-up ascent on the Diamond Face on Mount Louis in the Canadian Rockies. The pair made good progress on the line and after three days of work and a total of 50-hours of climbing pulled onto the summit. Trotter and Caldwell plan to return with a rack of 22 quickdraws and redpoint the entire route. More details, including an entertaining photo of Caldwell with an umbrella,  here.
