IFSC Announces 2020 Schedule Around Olympics

The 2020 IFSC competition schedule has been published and includes time for athletes to prepare and compete at the Japan Olympics. Sport climbing will take place in the Olympics from Aug. 4 to 7.

Most Olympic climbers will likely not participate in any more world cups than they need to prepare for Japan.

April 17: Wujiang boulder/speed
May 8: Seul boulder/speed
May 23: Munich boulder
June 12: Vail boulder/speed
June 25: Innsbruck boulder/lead
July 2: Villars lead/speed
July 11: Chamonix lead/speed
July 18: Briancon lead
Aug. 4-7: Olympics
Oct. 9: Xiamen lead/speed
