New Garmin Instinct Crossover – Watch, Analog, Smart and Adventure

The long-awaited new watch hits the markets this week. Here's what to expect

Garmin’s newest watch, the Instinct Crossover, combines practical features like a battery life that can go for weeks without re-charging, and with the solar edition a solar charging lens, with office-friendly looks. It’s compatible with sports apps and comes with  Garmin’s full suite of wellness features including Sleep Score and Advanced Sleep Monitoring, and a Health Monitoring activity which allows users to record key health metrics, such as Body Battery, stress, and heart rate in a single view.

Needless to say, it also gives you your VO2 Max, Pulse Ox2, Fitness Age, Training Status/Load/Effect, HRV Status, and Recovery Time. RevoDrive hand technology will ensure autocalibration to keep users precisely on time, no matter how bad the weather or extreme the environment. Navigational features include GPS tracking, Multi-GNSS support, ABC sensors and TracBack® routing to navigate back to a starting point, and Reference Point, to keep track of a known place relative to their location. It is also thermal and shock resistant, built to MIL-STD-810, and water-rated to 10 ATM.

The crossover, however, doesn’t compromise on good looks. “We created Instinct Crossover for active lifestyle individuals who prefer the look of a traditional watch but who are ready to tap into the functionality of a modern smartwatch,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of global consumer sales.

“By eliminating the need to compromise between tradition and technology, the Instinct Crossover reimagines and redefines the modern adventure smartwatch.” The luminescent watch hands and easy-to-read digital display are both functional and add to what Garmin calls the watch‘s ‘‘rugged, yet refined,” looks.

The watch will sport a display at 176 by 176 pixel resolution and a circular panel. It can last for up to 28 days on a single full charge on the Smart Watch Mode or up to 30 days, with the solar charging feature. Instinct Crossover connects with smartphone devices so customers can get notifications, use Garmin Pay™ contactless payments3 and sync with the Garmin Connect™ app and Connect IQ™ store.

Instinct Crossover represents Garmin’s continued innovation of smartwatch technology and is available now with a suggested retail price beginning at $499.99. To learn more, visit garmin.com/outdoor, connect with @garminoutdoor on social media, or follow garmin.com/blog.
