Alannah Yip and Sean McColl Make Chongqing 2019 Semis

Alannah Yip and Sean McColl have advanced to semis at the Chongqing Bouldering World Cup 2019, the first of two stops in China during the tour. Yip is heading into semis in 19th and McColl is tied in 9th. This is the third straight semis that Yip has made in the 2019 Bouldering World Cup circuit and the first of the season for McColl.

Other Canadian men finished in: Lucas Uchida 41st, Jason Holowach 49th, Nathan Smith 55th, Zach Richardson 69th. And other Canadian women in: Paige Boklaschuck 43rd, Bear Evans 45th, Allison Vest 63rd and Madison Fischer 69th.

Continuing my weekend in good form with boulder qualifications going fabulously. It’s hard to squeeze into a few sentences everything running through my mind since Moscow but relaxed might be a good one. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After not making semis in either of the first two World Cups, there was definitely pressure and yet at the same time it was important to remember my overall goal and reflect on the process.
