How to Watch Canadian Youth Nationals

Canadian Youth Nationals will run all weekend and into next week. Learn the schedule and how to watch the event here

Canada’s Youth National Championships began at Le Crux Laval yesterday morning. The 12 hour bouldering qualification round brought all Youth B, Youth A, and Junior athletes through to this morning’s semi-final, set to begin at 8:30 am EST.

The competition itself reflects the IFSC’s World Cup format to best prepare Canada’s youth for the world circuit as they become older. Both male and female Youth A climbers will join the Youth B females in opening this morning’s semi-final. Juniors and Youth B males will follow. The Semi-final will conclude at 12:30pm. A four-and-a-half hour reset will precede the Youth A and Junior Finals. As such, these finals will begin at 5:00.

Youth B will begin their finals tomorrow morning. They will be the only event on this shorter day of competition. On the following Sunday, Lead will begin, making this the highest volumed Youth Nationals in recent history. With more competitors and events than ever before, not to mention the constant live streaming for Climbing Escalade Canada, competition climbing continues its progression in Canada. Lead qualifications will begin on Sunday with semi-finals and finals on Monday.

Livestreams for all events will be available here.
