Three Canadians to Compete at Briancon Lead WC 2021

Can Victor Baudrand repeat last week's impressive outing and climb his way to finals again?

With the Olympics only a week away, the World Cup tour has stopped in Briancon after an entertaining event in Chamonix. Many of the highest ranked climbers won’t be competing as they’re on their way to Tokyo.

Victor Baudrand accomplished what few Canadian male comp climbers ever have, and that was making it the finals of a Lead World Cup and finishing fifth. He’ll be competing with fellow Canadians, his brother Oscar and Sean Faulkner. No women from Canada will be at the comp.

Qualifications take place today (July 16) with semis and finals this weekend. You can check updates on the IFSC app which you can download for free. Watch semis and finals below and follow Gripped Magazine Comps on Instagram for more comp news.
