Fundraiser for New Squamish Campground 2017

John Harvey of the Mamquam River Access Society has been working hard to see a new campground open in Squamish for visiting climbers.

There is still some fundraising to do, visit the GoFundMe page here to help out.

The much-needed camping area will be on three-hectares of land on Centennial Way next to the Mamquam River.

There will be nearly 50 campsites, drive-in and walk-in. It will be the first commercial camping area within the growing West Coast climbing town. Watch a short film featuring Harvey below.

The new campground will be accessible to people with developmental disabilities and will cater to all user groups.

The society still needs to raise money to complete the campground. If all goes to plan, the campground should open in the fall of 2017.
