On March 5, 2013 the Polish team of Maciej Berbeka, Adam Bielecki, Tomasz Kowalski, and Artur Malek reached the top of Broad Peak 8,047 m. The team was expected to return to base camp today, but only Ma?ek and Bielecki managed to make it to Campo 4 at 7,400 m. Berbeka and Kowalski were unable to descend and were forced to bivy at 7,900m. At the time of writing, the pair of Berbeka and Kowalski are considered missing.
