The famous American climber Layton Kor passed away the night of April 21, 2013 at the age of 74. Kor was an important figure in the Colorado climbing scene during the late 1950s and ’60s where he established numerous classic lines such as Rosy Crucifiction 5.10 and The Naked Edge 5.11. Kor also established the Robbins Route on Mount Proboscis in Canada’ Northwest Territories. Kor had been battling kidney failure and prostate cancer.
