Jacopo Larcher Climbs Italian Testpiece
Jacopo Larcher, 25, made the second ascent of Helmutant 5.14d in South Tyrol, Italy this week.
The route remained a project after being bolted a decade ago. In 2014, it was sent by Michael Piccolruaz. Larcher wrote on his Facebook page after the ascent, “I tried it a while ago and it has always been on my mind. I’m glad that I found the motivation to get back on it.”
“This time it felt way easier than in the past, and three days were enough to tick Helmutant. It’s always good to see a progression.”
