March 16, 2010 – New Park Celebrates Teton’s Alpinism and Bouldering

Located at the base of the Teton Mountains, the city of Jackson Hole is poised to break ground on a new community bouldering park. The park will be located at the base of Snow King Resort and will honour the pioneering role that the Tetons played in North American climbing. Support for the project will come from the Teton Boulder Project’s fundraising initiatives which have generated more than half of the needed $300 000. While the Tetons famous for their numerous significant North American mountaineering routes, they are also the home to some of John Gill’s earliest North America’s bouldering accomplishments.
