Melissa Le Nevé Makes Strong Send of V14 in Font

Melissa Le Nevé has sent the technical Mécanique Elémentaire V14 in Fontainebleau. The hard route was first climbed by Sébastien Frigault and has become a test-piece for strong boulderers.

Le Nevé becomes the sixth woman to send V14 or harder, the previous five being Alex Puccio, Tomoko Ogawa, Ashima Shiraishi, Shauna Coxsey and Isabelle Faus. After her send, Le Nevé wrote on Instagram, “Swoop! Today I could send my hardest climb on the paper but mostly my hardest challenge in terms of reachy moves.

“After falling a while on the very last move I finally could stand on the top… Super happy, thanks for the spot Nalle Hukkataival.” Le Nevé will be competing at the Climbers Works International Festival in the U.K. this weekend.
