After Qualifications, Canadians Noah Beek advanced in fourth, Nathan Kutcher in ninth, McArthur in 12th and David Bouffard in 18th for the Males. For Females, Ineke Rhebergen and Rebecca Lewis advanced.

Beek and Rhebergen finished strong after Semis and made it to Finals, where they both finished in sixth. That’s the strongest finish for Male and Female Canadians at Ice Worlds this year.

Rhebergen said after, “So happy with my climbing today and my sixth place finish here in finals at the World Cup in Hohhot, China.

“I may not have topped the route, but for me, I climbed my best so far, and fought harder than I thought I could.

“So I am ecstatic. It’s been a long few months of training and I can’t explain how grateful I am to Gord McArthur for his coaching and his incredible patience with helping me to improve my headspace as well. It’s definitely been a journey.”

2. Maksim Tomilov / Maria Tolokonina
3. Nikolai Kuzovlev / Eimir McSwiggan
4. Alexey Tomilov / Ekaterina Vlasova
