Nina Williams Sends Window Shopper V12

Nina Williams recently climbed Window Shopper V12 at Flagstoff in Colorado. Watch below.

Williams is a 27-year-old American climber based in Boulder. She’s best known for her first female ascent of Ambrosia, a V11 highball on the Grandpa Peabody in the Buttermilks of Bishop, California, in 2017.

It tops out about 15 metres off the ground and is so tall that the lack of ropes creates a formidable mental challenge for any climber.

Her ascent was heralded by many as one of the hardest free solos ever done by a woman.

Williams also completed two other difficult routes on the same boulder, Evilution Direct V11 and Footprints V9 to complete the Grandpa Peabody trifecta.

In 2015, she climbed first V13 with a send of Ray of Light in Rocklands, South Africa. It was the first female ascent of this route.
