New Quebec Ice and Mixed at Lac du Cap 2018

Four strong Quebec ice climbers visited Lac du Cap in their home province from Jan. 26 to Jan. 29 and climbed a number of new routes.

Serge Alexandre Demers Giroux and Louis-Philippe Ménard visited the area to climb new ice and mixed routes in March 2016. More from that trip here.

On this trip, they bought Pad Awan and Bruno Demers-Giroux to explore the shores of Lac du Cap.

They left the parking at Auberge Le Cabanon in -32°C and travelled 10 kilomtres to their camp.

They limbed a number of new routes, including the two-pitchThe Thong M6+R/X, the 95-metre The Shaft Dipped in Caramel WI5+, the one-pitch Crazy Orgy M8- A0, the 50-metre Forked Tongue on Cape M7 and Jump the Cap M6 WI6 90m.
