July 18, 2011 – Bouldering World Champions Crowned

Russian Dmitry Sharafutdinov and Austrian Anna Stohr have captured the top spots at the bouldering World Championships in Arco, Italy.

Russian Dmitry Sharafutdinov and Austrian Anna Stohr have captured the top spots at the bouldering World Championships in Arco, Italy. On the men’s front, Adam Ondra (CZE) took second place and Rustam Gelmanov (RUS) finished third.  Canadian Sean McColl, who is spending the summer in Europe competing, managed a very respectable eleventh-place finish. The women’s event saw a surprising result with American Sasha DiGiulian bagging second place. Germany’s Juliane Wurm rounded out the podium for the women. Full results here.
