Climb the Chicago Ice Tower During Polar Vortex

Chicago Ice Tower

A bitter cold polar vortex has hit the the Midwest and seems to be sticking around. The deep freeze has settled on many cities, including Chicago.

While many residents wait to emerge from their homes to warmer temperatures, those who like to play in the cold can find an ice tower ready to be climbed in Monee, south of Chicago just off I-57.

The 10-metre-tall man-made ice tower is short compared to the big routes along the shores of Lake Michigan and throughout the east, but it provides a fun training space. For more on the ice tower visit here.
