Tara Kerzhner Wins Squamish Exposed 2019

Kerzhner takes first place for the second year in a row

On Aug. 24, over 1,000 climbers gathered at the Arc’teryx Climbing Academy for the Squamish Exposed photo competition. Six of the industry’s best photographers, six Arc’teryx athletes and six members of the public climb for 48 hours of continuous shooting.

This year, the photographers were Tara Kerzhner, Joe Segreti, Ted Hesser, Pete Hoang, Irene Yee and Alex Eggermont. Their finished slideshows went head to head on Saturday night and the three judges had to select who had the best imagery, photo editing and creative slideshow presentation.

In the end, Tara Kerzhner, who won in 2018, took top spot with her slideshow that had a Stranger Things theme. In second was Eggermont and in third was Hesser. The Arc’teryx event wrapped up on Sunday under sunny skies.
