Olympian Brooke Raboutou Just Sent Trieste V14, See the Send
She climbed the burly test-piece on her third day of a recent trip to Red Rock
Brooke Raboutou has just repeated Trieste V14 in Red Rock, her longest-standing project. It was first climbed by Paul Robinson in 2014. After only three days on her second trip, Raboutou sent, watch below.
Raboutou, who finished ninth in the 2020 Summer Olympics combing sport climbing event, has climbed a number of V14s in the past. In 2020, she climbed two V14 problems in one day in Rocky Mountain National Park. One being Two Ton Skeleton and the other being Jade, which was originally was V15.
Raboutou ticked her first V10 at age nine and then became the youngest female to climb a 5.13b. At 10, she sent V11 and became the youngest female to climb 5.13d. At 11, she became the youngest to send 5.14b.
Raboutou’s parents, Didier Raboutou and Robyn Erbesfield-Raboutou, are former world champion climbers. Didier is a three-time World Cup champion and Robyn is a five-time U.S.A. champion and four-time World Cup champion.
