The event will feature a review of SAS's efforts in 2022 and a 2023 outlook—plus trivia, drinks, and prizes

The Squamish Access Society (SAS) will be holding their 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday February 4th. A longstanding pillar of the Squamish climbing community, SAS is an organization that promotes climbing area stewardship and access in the greater Squamish region. You can read about their many important initiatives here. The 2023 AGM starts at 7:00 p.m. and is being held at Ground Up Climbing Centre in Squamish.

This year’s event is a little different than previous years’. “We decided to make this year’s AGM a more social affair so we’re combining it with a trivia night,” said SAS about the event on Instagram. “Come out and show off your Squamish climbing knowledge to win some prizes, then stick around for the meeting. We’ll be looking back on the past year and discussing what we hope to achieve in 2023. SAS members will receive one free drink on the night.”

Sound like fun? SAS is asking those looking to attend to RSVP here so that they can get an idea of attendance numbers. Only SAS members can attend the AGM. If you’re not already a SAS member, you can sign up at the event or beforehand through this webpage.

SAS is also looking for individuals to join the organization as board members or volunteer coordinators. You can read more about the open positions as well as the 2023 AGM in their Instagram post below.
