Climbers Invited to New Outdoor Montreal Granite Boulders

Organizers hope that one day there will be a "metro circuit" of boulders at a number of parks

On July 25, Bloc Urbain will open to climbers who are hoping to boulder on real granite without leaving the city of Montreal. The organizers will be hosting an event for around 200 climbers and gym owners in order to spread the word about the new urban climbing spot.

Bloc Urbain hopes the city will see how popular urban boulders are and will order more for other Montreal parks. The organizers said that they hope to create a sort of “metro circuit” in the city limits.

There are a number of partners for the event, including The North Face, FQME, Psicobloc, Allez Up and more. For more information, visit the Facebook event page here.
