Indoor Weekly: ?Speed and Lead Nationals this Weekend

Many of Canada’s best climbers have been training all year for the chance to make the national team and this weekend will give them that opportunity.

The CEC Youth and Open Lead/Speed Nationals will be taking place from May 19 to 21 at The Boulders in Central Saanich/Victoria and it’s going to be a huge event.

Lat year, Sean McColl and Alannah Yip won the Lead event at Canyon Escalade. See here for full results.

With so many strong climbers in every category, it’s really up in the air who will walk away with a podium. It will come down to how the routes are set and the climbers are feeling at the time of their climb.

Some of Canada’s top Youth and Open climbers will be competing including: Jake Tiger, Tosh Sherkat, Alex Fricker, Guy McNamee, Lucas Uchida, Indiana Chapman, Alannah Yip, Cat Carkner, Audrey Larochelle, Becca Frangos, Allison Vest, Alyssa Weber, Babette Roy and many more.
