No More Vail Boulder World Cup, Here’s Where in 2020

Many climbers will miss the event taking place in Colorado

The IFSC Bouldering World Cup circuit has visited dozens of towns and cities over the past few decades, including Canmore and Toronto in Canada. One of the most anticipated stops every year has been Vail, where climbers compete at the centre of the GoPro Mountain Games.

However, Vail won’t be hosting an IFSC event this year, instead the only North American Bouldering and Speed World Cups in 2020 will take place in Salt Lake City. The other Bouldering World Cups will take place in Meiringen, Munich, Seoul, Wujiang and Innsbruck.

Details haven’t been released about exact locations, but the dates will be June 12 to 14. Salt Lake City once hosted the Outdoor Retailer, a climbing industry leading trade show.

Vail – 2019 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Probably the last time the World Cup will be in that city… I’m glad to have walked away with a few pieces of hardware, and in the final year a hard earned spot in finals ? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What a crazy year indeed ?? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @adidasterrex | @scarpana | @joerockheads | @verticalartclimbing | @flashedclimbing | @perfect_descent | @CANFund | @visaca
