Arco 2015, Day Three: Bouldering Finals Next

It was another hot one in Arco today. Boulder semi-finals are complete. All five Canadian athletes put in a fantastic effort today but unfortunately none of them earned a spot in tomorrow’s final.

Ashima Shiraishi from the U.S. and Janja Garnbret dominated the Female Youth B and Youth A categories; topping all four of their boulders.

Miho Nonaka from Japan continues to lead the Female Junior category but Stasa Gejo from Serbia and Jessica Pilz from Austria are only a few attempts behind.

Filip Schenk from Italy is going into finals in first place in Male Youth B but he is going to have to fight hard if he wants to keep the lead.

Male Youth A is the toughest category. All six finalists topped three out of four boulders; they are only separated by a few attempts. Yoshiyuki Ogata from Japan currently has the lead.

Johnwon Chon from Korea leads the Male Junior category with Nathaniel Coleman from the U.S. close behind.

Lead qualifications begin on Tuesday.
